Ambient Air Monitoring (AMBM)

The Ambient Air Monitoring curriculum is intended for learners who conduct ambient air monitoring in compliance with the applicable Clean Air Act requirements and associated monitoring regulations.

In the left column, you will find entire e-learning courses. The right column provides the content of those same courses arranged by learning objective, for learners who would like to customize their learning plan or who are looking for more targeted training content. (It should be noted that training material is not yet available for all learning objectives.)
eLearning Courses

After completion of this course, learners will be able to explain key aspects of ambient air monitoring for criteria pollutants.

After completion of this course, learners will be able to explain the key aspects of ambient air toxics monitoring.

After completion of this course, learners will be able to explain general concepts of network design and ambient monitor site selection for particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) ambient monitoring sites.

After completion of this course, learners will be able to explain general concepts of ambient monitor site selection and considerations and procedures for selecting sulfur dioxide (SO2) and particulate matter (PM10) ambient monitoring sites.

After completion of this course, learners will be able to define key terms, describe uncertainty and how it can affect decisions based on data, and describe the benefits of an adequate quality system.
